NZSSAA Cross Country Championships

June 14, 2025 - NZSSAA Cross country Championships - Individual Race

We competed in the NZ Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships held in Whangarei over the weekend. Here are the results:

Senior Girls 4000m (121 entrants)
3rd: Lisa Hellyer – 14:43
5th: Sarah Hellyer – 15:05

Finishing in the top 10 qualifies us for selection to the NZSSAA Cross Country Championships Team 2025 and offers an opportunity to compete at the 2025 Australian Schools Cross Country Championships on the Gold Coast this September.

June 15, 2025 – Girls 4x2000m Relay
1st: Auckland Senior Girls A Team (Scarlett Rob, Zara Pomfret, Sarah Hellyer, Lisa Hellyer)

Sarah ran third and Lisa anchored the Auckland Senior Girls A team. We won—both in our age group and overall—by managing to close a gap and overtaking the leading Waikato Bay of Plenty team.
